Supported Housing Officer
TristoneNash have partnered with a highly reputable social housing provider who is seeking to appoint a Supported Housing Officer.
Location: South Gloucestershire
Length of Contract: 2 to 3 months
Pay: Negotiable based on suitability for the role
Working hours/days: 36.5 hours per week (09:00am to 17:00pmM-F)
The Supported Housing Officer will be responsible for providing low to medium tailored support to 12 residents, both men and women between the age of 18 and 65 who are at the risk of homelessness. You will support residents to successfully maintain their tenancy and to secure permanent housing to enable them to live independently
Your duties in this role would include:
- Monitoring and managing rent accounts, ensuring arrears are addressed in line with organisational procedure
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a planned programme of support
- Delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice to individuals to ensure their income is maximised
- Assisting individuals to identify and access appropriate move-on accommodation
- Promoting opportunities and encourage the raising of aspirations of the individuals you support in education, training and employment
- Giving general tenancy advise and assisting with any anti-social behaviour disputes
- Tailoring support plans and carrying out risk assessments
Essential requirements for this role:
- Housing management experience
- Supporting clients with vulnerable needs
- Enhanced DBS within 3 years
