Tax Analyst - 12-month Contract

The Opportunity: We are delighted to partner with a Liverpool-based Housing Association in their search for a Tax Analyst on a 12-month contract. This remote role requires occasional on-site work in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a large organisation and knowledge of the Housing sector. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyse tax documents and reports thoroughly, identifying and addressing discrepancies or errors and providing recommendations for corrective action.
  • Proficiently calculate and submit VAT, CIS, and Tax returns.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of key factors influencing VAT and CIS matters.
  • Offer expert advice on VAT and CIS, including Reverse Charge VAT in Construction, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyse financial data, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations, providing guidance to internal stakeholders on potential impacts and implications.
  • Utilise a Financial Management System to extract and analyse data, producing accurate and meaningful financial, management, and statistical information.
  • Efficiently manage and analyse large volumes of financial data using Excel.
