Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of innovators and creators? Empowering Learning is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teacher of Design and Technology to join a vibrant Secondary School in Derby, commencing September 2024 on a full-time basis.

The school takes pride in it's Design & Innovation faculty, which delivers a diverse range of Level 1 and 2 technical and vocational subjects. With a strong emphasis on practical skills and real-world application, we empower our students to pursue meaningful career pathways aligned with the local labour market.

The Role: As a Teacher of Design and Technology, you will have the opportunity to engage with a dynamic curriculum, including subjects such as Design & Technology, Food & Cookery, Creative iMedia, Textiles, Business Studies, Engineering, and Construction at Key Stage 4. Our department boasts state-of-the-art resources, including 3 ICT suites, 3D printers, a large format laser cutter, and CNC routers/lathes/mills, enabling you to deliver engaging and innovative lessons that foster creativity and critical thinking.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
