Teaching Assistant KS1

Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting an Ofsted rated "Good" primary school in Runcorn as they are looking for a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to assist in the EYFS and KS1 classes. This is a long-term temporary contract due to long-term sickness that will last until the end of the academic year.

Your new role
In your new role you will be supporting students on a 1:1 and group basis across the EYFS and KS1 classes. You will work under the instruction of the class teacher to promote a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment by aiding in classroom and behaviour management. You will support your new students on a 1:1 and small group basis by holding intervention and booster sessions in core subjects and proactively identifying when pupils may be struggling and offering them additional support as required. Other duties will include learn through play, phonics, numeracy and literacy support.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered with your application you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as:

• An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
• Experience working with EYFS and KS1 year groups
• Be able to commit on a long-term basis
