We are looking for a Technical Support Officer to join our team at Oatridge.

The Opportunity

The purpose of the role is to:
• Provide technical support for students and/or staff
• Apply technical skills and knowledge to support the successful delivery of teaching.

Main Duties of the post:
• Care and Maintenance of the Animals and the Animal Unit
• Maintaining practical working areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition
• Maintaining stores in a clean, tidy and safe condition
• Maintaining and monitoring stock levels.
• Any other duties as required

Assisting Teaching Staff:
• Preparation of Animals and Equipment for use by teaching staff and students
• Preparation of teaching/work areas for use by teaching staff and students
• Assisting with the development of resources
• Assisting Teaching staff with demonstrations and practical's when required

Supervision:
• Supervision of practical classes/duties
• Supervision and Training of others - work experience trainees

Minimum Qualifications:


This role would suit a candidate educated to SCQF Level 5, with the ability to demonstrate competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired sufficient relevant knowledge and skills e.g. in a similar role, or through education/training.
