We are currently looking for a Senior Broker for our Political Violence & Terrorism Team. Due to the ever-changing Political environment across the globe commercial businesses seek indemnification for their potential financial losses from the after effect of such events. Working within a global team, based in London, in a fast-paced environment, with ever changing dynamics. You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for retention of clients and new business development. You will manage and develop client and WTW relationships and grow the portfolio within the business unit and will be responsible for converting prospects.

The Role

  • Face to face broking in Lloyds and with London markets, and electronically with international markets
  • Working with the Global Broking Team in all aspects of work
  • Excellence in broking through trust, credibility, and strong market relationships
  • Seeking best terms and conditions for clients
  • Conducting client meetings
  • Client account administration with the goal to retain and develop a profitable terrorism portfolio of accounts, including day to day care of clients’ programme in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Documentation production 
  • Electronically trading through PPL
  • General advice and support to clients by email telephone and face to face meetings.
  • Understand the clients’ business and risk management needs, determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs
  • Actively identify opportunities to work with colleagues across the business to capitalise on account penetration and cross selling opportunities
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant products and services offered by WTW 
  • Ensure transparency of agency and other commitments made to carriers and clients
  • Deliver optimisation of revenue from new and existing clients using the full range of appropriate placement channels and markets for the specific client segment of the business



The Requirements

  • Extensive Political Violence market experience
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resources, practice groups and other producers
  • ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification
  • Educated to degree level or relevant industry experience
  • Good working knowledge of Market Reform Contracts for Insurance and Reinsurance contracts
  • Attention to detail
  • Be able to maintain face-to-face and telephone contact with clients and Underwriters
  • Have a demonstrable track record of strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication (written, oral & presentation) skills & interpersonal skills essential 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial
  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of service
  • Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists
  • Ability to represent the practice and WTW with integrity and credibility
