Test Technician

Are you an experienced Test Technician within an electrical or production environment? Do you have experience with both hardware and software testing? If so, this Production Test Technician role is for you!

This Production Test Technician role is working for a manufacturer in Welham Green, Hertfordshire. The hours are regular office hours, Monday to Friday. The role is paying up to £32,000 depending on experience.

This role is for a company who specialise in the manufacture of test equipment for the fire detection and safety industry. They are a very innovative company working within a very niche and growing market.

The successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities within this position. They will be required to perform equipment maintenance, completing minor repairs such as replacing cables or connectors. This also includes software and IT updates and commissioning new test equipment. There is also an element of Equipment Development within this role. This includes developing test software. There is also the need to ensure test issues are resolved and fault finding is carried out before production release. Instrument calibration is also a responsibility within this role. Raising the purchase of replacement or development parts also falls within this role. The role also encompasses all relevant documentation such as test instructions, operator training and test records.

You will need:

• A level 4+ qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Demonstratable experience as a Production Test Technician
• Experience working within Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing
• Experience with soldering and wiring
• Can understand and work from technical drawings and manufacturing principles
• Exceptional Time Management
• Good Problem Solving skills
