Town Centres and Markets Manager
Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity to be involved in shaping and transforming the District of Ashfield in West Nottinghamshire as a Town Centres and Markets Manager. We are an ambitious District Council based in Kirkby in Ashfield, in easy reach of Nottingham, Sheffield and Derby. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of£40,221 - £43,421 per annum (pay award pending).
The Town Centres Manager plays a key role in our ambition to make towns centres and high streets thriving and diverse places where people want to live, work, visit and do business. Within the Investment Team you will work collaboratively with partners, Elected Members, businesses and local communities to develop initiatives and to attract funding for our three town centres of Hucknall, Kirkby and Sutton, and our local high streets.
You will support our regeneration programmes and work with teams across the Council to provide support to high street businesses, promote the towns centres and ensure they are well-maintained, as well as initiatives to support the District’s visitor economy. You will also be responsible for overseeing and developing the District’s markets.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual who is passionate about place-making, with a proven track record of building relationships and getting things done.
