Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator based in Witham on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping accurate records and monitoring the delivery and collection of goods and services. The successful candidate will have experience in a Credit Control type role, or stock chasing type role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Keeping audits and monitoring the delivery and collection of goods and services
  • Keeping clear updated records of stock
  • Manage the chasing of outstanding stillages/pallets until returned or invoiced where necessary by working to collect stillages within the desired collection period
  • Supporting the transport team with general administration
  • Support the planning duties within the transport team.
  • Proactively chase customers to arrange stillage collections. Raise collection notes to suit collections when we are in the area.
  • Manage and update the stillage log, to track and record stillage location and status.
  • Check driver’s paperwork to log stillage information.
  • Match loading information with stillage delivery notes daily.
  • Liaise with drivers for missing information.
  • Routinely advise customers of their present status re stillages on site.
  • Provided daily/weekly reports on the status of the companies stillages
  • Answer the telephone to deal with and resolve customers’ queries and collection requests within a timely manner.
  • Investigate and find missing stillages.
  • Providing excellent customer service

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional customer service skills - must have a friendly and positive phone manner
  • Energetic, self-driven and motivated
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise time to plan and organise effectively
  • Ability to learn
  • Great communication within the team and office
  • Previous experience in credit control/stock control required
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers and suppliers

Working hours are Monday - Friday 40 hours weekly.

In return our client offers a salary of up to £26,000 per annum, 22 days annual leave + bank holidays rising to a maximum of 25 days as well as free parking, SMART Health & company events.
