Our client is a well-established company specializing in vehicle maintenance and repair. Their purpose-built workshop houses a dedicated team of professionals who work on a variety of vehicles, including Mercedes Sprinters, VW Crafters, and VW Transporters.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Technician to join their team. As a key member of the maintenance crew, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of their fleet.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle servicing according to company policies.
  • Conduct maintenance inspections and repairs, adhering to both company and DVSA standards.
  • Prepare and present vehicles for MOTs.
  • Diagnose vehicle faults and recommend appropriate repair methods.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork promptly.
  • Order parts in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Maintain a tidy workshop and organise tools and equipment.
  • Assist with on-road vehicle breakdowns.
  • Conduct road testing to identify defects or verify successful repairs.
  • Prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and safe working practices.

Experience and Qualities
  • NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Desirable welding experience (though not essential).
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and maintain focus.
  • Positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Remuneration and Hours:
  • Full-time position (40 - 45 hours per week, including breaks).
  • Overtime available during busy periods.
  • £30,000-£45,000 DOE.
  • Additional training opportunities.
