Warehouse Operative Driver

A new position is available for a Warehouse Operative & Driver, our client are a well established, niche freight forwarding agent, would suit a Trainee or someone with previous warehouse/driving experience and the salary will depend on this. All relevant training will be provided including Forklift, Security & H&S Courses. Must be aged min 19 for insurance purposes.

Willing and happy to accept people with no driving or warehouse experience so long as their attitude is good as we supply on job training for all staff.

Employment Terms for the Warehouse Operative & Driver

• Monday-Friday 9-5.30 (flexible)
• 25 days holiday - increasing after 2 years by 1 day p.a. upto 30 days + BH
• Pension

• £25k NEG/DOE & plus paid overtime as required

Requirements for the Warehouse Operative & Driver

• Physically Fit and Able to lift
• Good verbal & written English
• Basic MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel
• Bright & numerate
• Team Player
• Hard working
• Reliable & punctual
• Good Work ethic
• Standard UK Clean Driving Licence (max 3 pts)
• Forklift Licence (preferred/training can be provided)
• Basic MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel
• Steady 5 year employment/education, ideally with NO GAPS
• Aged min 19 for insurance purposes
• NO criminal record

Warehouse Operative & Driver Duties

• Daily Vehicle & Forklift Checks/Log Book
• Collection & Deliveries (small van)
• Occasional distance driving (small van)
• Loading/Off Loading of Vehicles
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence (Training provided)
• Manual Handling of Goods
• Goods Booking in and out
• Check weigh freight and note dimensions
• Damage Reports
• Documentation checks
• Cargo Labelling
• Cargo Manifesting
• Dangerous Goods awareness
• Picking and packing
• Manual Bond Check
• Adhoc admin duties
