General Manager

Job Description: We are advertising on behalf of our client, a highly respected local business seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead their team and drive the business forward. The ideal candidate will ideally have a strong background in the motor garage industry (other industries will be considered), with proven leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Reporting directly to the Owner, the General Manager will oversee all aspects of our operations, including:

• Managing day-to-day operations of the garage, ensuring efficiency and quality service delivery.
• Leading and motivating a team of technicians, mechanics, and support staff to achieve excellence.
• Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Handling administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Monday to Friday (some Saturdays maybe required).

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a managerial role within the motor garage industry is desirable but training can be provided.
• Proven track record of success in driving business growth and profitability.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Energetic, motivated, and hungry to succeed.
