Reed HR are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-known, professional services company on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly into the HR Manager the HR Advisor will provide practical, commercial and ethical HR advice to line managers in line with the company values.

Applications are welcomed from both full time and part time candidates. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to staff and management.
  • Lead the implementation and optimisation of HR systems, ensuring they meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and best practices.
  • Manage a range of casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
  • Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and share best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions related to HR practices, employee benefits, and policy awareness.
  • Support the HR team with projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor, particularly with a focus on employee relations and HR systems.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and experience handling complex HR issues.
  • Experience with HR software and systems implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
