Accounting and Compliance Officer - Media Agency

A Global, leading Media Agency is looking for a Senior Accounting and Compliance Officer to join them in this exciting and hands-on role.

This role sees you supporting the team in building a top-tier finance function, enhancing controls, and processes, and laying the groundwork for ongoing growth.

Accounting and Compliance Officer - The Role

• Manage finance operations for agencies in the UK and Ireland, focusing on reporting, variance analysis, and commentary

• Assist senior leadership in assessing and improving the efficiency of the UK control environment and documentation

• Ensure compliance with reporting processes and enhance procedures as necessary, such as intercompany reporting and WIP netting.

• Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Leading internal and external audits, including US GAAP audit, interim audit, and statutory audits.

• Supervising statutory accounts and tax compilations

• Collaborate with senior leadership and controls team on change initiatives, including process automation and streamlining to ensure compliance

Management Accountant - The Person

• Prior experience in a similar role is essential

• Experience within a similar company is beneficial

• Ideally immediately available or on short notice

• Experience in a similar role and industry preferred
