Reporting to the Administration Manager, the Accounts Administrator is responsible for the processing of supplier payments in an accurate and timely manner. YOUR JOB - Your tasks will include: Perform the day to day processing of supplier invoices and credits.Performing the daily banking process and maintain store receipts and payments.Supplier statement reconciliation.Follow up on supplier/head office queries effectively.Liaising with suppliers and Branch Managers to ensure payment deadlines are met. Maintaining internal reports and filing.Maintain and record customer debtor’s information.Prepare and complete month end reports. The role will also involve performing general administration duties along with supporting and covering other members of the team. YOUR KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Essential Criteria GCSEs or equivalent are required.Strong computer skills using Excel and e-mail at a highly proficient level. Desirable Criteria Minimum 2 years Administration/Accounts experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining ledgers. Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.Ability to work on own initiative and within a busy team.Strong organisational skills.Have the ability to work with numbers in a competent and confident way.Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information. Based in Twyford, Berkshire our recently acquired client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team in a permanent role working on a hybrid basis 2-3 days in the office. This job would suit an experienced all-round accounts assistant or bookkeeper to be responsible for supporting the finance function with various accounting tasks and office administrative duties to ensure accurate day to day accounts and reconciliations are put in place so the management accounts and analysis can be done by others. It is expected that the accounts will take half of the week with the other half needed in the office to support various office and operational duties and acting as holiday cover for other roles. This specialist business provides efficient solutions to customers' domestic problems, operating across operate across Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire with plans to expand further. The company has been acquired recently and sits alongside another company in the Group (based in Bristol) with this person looking after the accounts for both businesses but being Twyford based. There is an individual in both businesses responsible for the invoicing. The successful individual will have a strong background as an accounts assistant or a bookkeeper type role and ideally have a good understanding of Xero software although this isn't essential. Strong understanding of accounting processes and procedures is important with a confidence in bank reconciliations. The candidate should have effective communication and organisational skills with the ability to achieve targets whilst maintaining accuracy.
