Loss Adjusting Technician Marley Risk Consultants Ltd are a chartered Loss Adjusters servicing the needs of the Latent Defects Insurance market across the UK. Established in 2013, we have offices in Shrewsbury, Cheltenham and London and are going through a period of growth to meet the needs of our expanding client base. Due to the companies exciting growth, we are seeking a Loss Adjusting Technician to join our team. The postholder will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the Loss Adjusting team and will engage with all areas of the business. The role offers excellent opportunities for future progression. Job Location: Shrewsbury. Job Type: Full-time (Mon-Fri). Salary: Negotiable depending on experience Key Activities: Support Loss Adjusters with a range of administrative tasks. These include (but are not limited to): o Setting up Loss Adjusting case files. o Arranging site visits for Loss Adjusters. o Handling and redirecting inbound telephone calls. o Answering queries and providing information to Loss Adjusters and Insurers as required. o Assisting in day-to-day correspondence with Policyholders, Insurers, Surveyors, etc. o Compiling and raising invoices o Producing payment reports for invoices and issuing to Insurers. o Updating the Claims Management Portal System. o Collating and organising data. o Filing of paper and electronic data. o General administrative tasks. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Participate in any internal and external training as required, including CII/CILA qualifications. The company will cover the cost of all training fees but reserves the right to claim back some or all the costs should you leave the company within a certain timeframe (as stipulated in your contract of employment).Abide by all relevant legal requirements, industry guidelines and company standards.Actively participate in team discussions to highlight issues and promote group learning.Perform other tasks as reasonably required by your nominated Loss Adjuster, Line Managers or Senior Management. Skills and Experience required: Proven track record in an office administration role, Experience of insurance or financial services sector is desirable.Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Experience of Claims Management Portal Systems preferred but not expected (training on company system will be given).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to quickly build positive and effective relationships.Wiling to ask questions and seek assistance when required.Well organised with excellent time management skills. Our client being a global firm of Loss Adjuster are looking for an ambitious, experienced Senior Adjuster to join the team. The position can be home or office based but you will be equipped to work remotely and full admin support will be provided. A company car or car allowance is included as travel is required. The team handles cases for a large number of market leading and specialist insurers and focus mainly on domestic high net worth and technical claims. You will quickly become a key member of the team undertaking a broad range of adjusting instructions and eventually deal with major and complex losses. Loss Adjuster - Property Claims Location: UK-Wide / Regional / Remote Loss Adjuster - About the role Fantastic opportunity to join a growing team of remote-based Property Loss Adjuster. You will handle a range of claims of varying complexity and value, and enjoy working to a broad and busy caseload. Every day will be different, so you’ll need to bring a strong background in both Domestic and Commercial claims, along with the appetite to operate in a remote team within a fast-paced and continually evolving environment. Loss Adjuster - Key duties Take responsibility for issuing interim fees during the claim life cycle as highlighted centrally. Full completion of all prepared site note templates and associated documentation. Reduce elapsed timescales by providing and fostering a pro-active approach to file management. Identify cases of possible fraud and recoveries and refer as appropriate. Work to ensure correct policy interpretation and validation. Work to achieve agreed activity levels with the intention of continuously reducing WIP throughout the year. Prepare, check and authorise appropriate reports for clients in accordance with agreed SLAs and formats. Ensure files are up to audit standards at all times. Take responsibility for following agreed/documented procedures when dealing with problems and complaints. Loss Adjuster - Property Claims - Key requirements Evidence of previous property claims adjusting / handling experience. Confident with technology, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong verbal and written communication. Demonstrable experience of organizing and managing own workload is essential. Accuracy, attention to detail and an analytical approach. Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment where flexibility is required to accommodate peaks and troughs in workload. Excellent time management to be able to work to short/changing deadlines. Self-motivated and able to work on own. Ability to contribute to a high performance/effective team.
