Average Document Paralegal salary in the UK

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented paralegal, to join our legal team. We sit as part of a wider group of businesses providing a commercial motor insurance offering, this an exciting opportunity to join the team within a newly created role, supporting our in-house solicitor within the DCL Group. The ideal candidate will have gained some paralegal experience working within a similar role although, entry-level candidates will be considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential along with strong organisation and time management skills. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the handling of litigated claims to include personal injury, credit hire and damage to vehicle.Work closely under the direction of the in-house solicitor to assist in all aspects of litigation including; - Complying with all court deadlines and dates - Assist in the drafting of documents including defences, witness statements and any applications - Prepare trial bundles - Assist in complying with court directions Work in conjunction with the claims company and in-house solicitor to manage the flow of new litigation in the most effective manner and provide a timely service.Assist with the maintenance of the litigation case management system and manage the production of reports and regular updates as required.Build and maintain a good relationship with the claims teams.Comply with all regulatory requirements as directed by the in-house solicitor.Build and maintain own knowledge and stay up to date with litigation practice. Experience and Knowledge Basic understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and the Court process is essential.Knowledge of RTA claims including Credit Hire and Personal Injury is preferred. Solid technical approach with the capacity to learn litigation procedure.Experience of working on a management information system an advantage.Ability to work in a team and manage deadlines.
