The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for providing excellent IT Services throughout the organisation and managing day-to-day infrastructure issues and play a lead role in the delivery of Infrastructure systems that support the organisation’s Service Level Agreements ( SLA’s). The role is instrumental in working with the support / Infrastructure teams and delivering improvements in customer support and experience, while maintaining inventories for both hardware and software. Infrastructure Manager - About the role: The Infrastructure Manager role will primarily be a hybrid role -home & office based in the Chesterfield office,( some remote working is available) working closely with a small team of technical engineers who provide effective solutions to escalated technical issues and provide a high level of technical expertise to the business. As Infrastructure Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the team performs to the highest levels and SLA commitments are met with exceptional customer service and deliver KPIs and operational / business plans. You will be involved in managing complex IT issues ( incidents and problems) and critical IT outages. You will need to have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to take ownership of incidents, whilst ensuring issues are being prioritized and resolved effectively. This role reports directly to the Head of IT and will ideally need some technical understanding of some of the following technologies: Networking, VMWare, Azure, O365, Cloud, Security, Firewalls, Infrastructure Manager - Key Responsibilities: Reviewing technical IT incidents / problems and IT outages, with a view to create efficient support solutions.Be focal point for Infrastructure support team of 6 people, ensuring high standards are consistently preserved, recognising strengths and weaknesses and acting on them. Some mentoring of support team to analyse and implement suitable solutions.Manage all day-to-day Infrastructure issues and prioritise maintenance, design, development, and analysis of all ICT systems ( Security, WAN/ LAN, Wireless, Internet)Management of the Group’s Disaster Recovery PlanManagement of all data security services, ensuring data remains secure and follows company policyDeliver reports on strategies to maintain server infrastructureAbility to highlight and implement service improvements, working with stakeholders across the business, Incident & Problem Management functions and 3rd parties.Make sure team follow best practice and internal processes, following governance that aligns with the organisationEstablishing and negotiating SLAs, and making sure that contracts are in place to support the services provided by the infrastructure teamEstablish strong relationships with 3rd party suppliers, which includes negotiating access agreements, establishing SLAs, and contracts are in place that supports the infrastructure services.Work closely with the Head of Digital & Data in delivering modern and cost-effective infrastructure solutions which help enable the delivery of services within the organisation.
