What You'll Be Doing As Maintenance Engineer on Nights, you will carry out the day to day maintenance tasks and site repairs to assist operations in achieving maximum productivity. Complete fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance.Carry out fault finding, problem solving and establish route cause fixes to address equipment issues.Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team ensuring they are fully aware of all relevant engineering activities and schedules.Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production up time according to given priorities.Comply with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely.Record any stock removed from the Engineering stores to ensure accurate stock control.Complete all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready .Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health and Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Assistant to join our client's enthusiastic and hardworking team based in Enfield, with some travel to the Coventry and Bradford sites. Working within a small team or independently, you will be required to work in all weather conditions while maintaining high cleaning standard and the role will involve lifting, walking, bending, and stooping. Duties will include general maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance to minimise machine downtime. Training on relevant machinery will be provided. You must be willing to work flexible hours during busier periods, including weekends or potential overtime. Hours of work are 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. This is a temporary role with an immediate start, but may become permanent for the right candidate.

This role would be working on a Panama shift pattern consisting of Days and Nights.About The Role:* Repair various manufacturing equipment used for the production of FMCG products including conveying and distribution systems.* Carry out PPM's and Reactive maintenance.* Attending to machinery breakdowns.* Fault finding equipment - electrical and mechanical machinery.* Knowledge of SCADA or similar systems and some PLC knowledge.About The Candidate:* Maintenance Engineer experience in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.* Applicants should have formal Electrical or Mechanical qualifications backed up with suitable training and experience ie NVQ level / 3 City and Guilds or food and drink industry engineering Apprenticeship.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.* Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.* Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.* Experience of using CMMS or EAM systems.* Proven experience in driving through continuous improvement activities.* Experience in maintaining standard industry machinery including conveyor belt systems, bucket fillers and strapping machines.* Working to British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards with regard to Hygiene and Cleanliness standards would be advantageous but not essential.We are looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated team player with a can do attitude who will have the following responsibilities:* Undertake a programme of Planned Preventative Maintenance and Condition Based Monitoring for key equipment & machinery across the manufacturing areas, to ensure that machinery & equipment is maintained correctly and operates safely and as efficiently as possible.* Actively support and encourage a programme of TPM and assist with the training of colleagues in the relevant activities, in accordance with H&S and engineering legislative codes of practice policies and procedures.* To support with additional maintenance tasks across the UK sites as and when requested.* Ensure accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences are dealt with in accordance with company standards.* Assist and train Machine Operators to ensure continuous improvement.* Ensure Data quantity and quality via the use of the engineering EAM system* Update daily activity reports.* Analyse system, lines and product performance.This role includes competitive salary and a great benefits package.Please apply for the role to register your interest.
