The Role: Membership and Marketing Development Executive Join our client a leading society for the arithmetic community with over 5,000 members globally. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will spearhead membership growth, engagement, and the company’s profile enhancement. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone passionate about fostering professional communities and driving strategic growth. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing strategies for membership recruitment, retention, and engagement.Promoting membership, professional recognition schemes, and benefits to existing and prospective members.Building relationships with universities, industry, and key stakeholders to strengthen networks and grow engagement.Overseeing marketing activities, including campaigns, promotional materials, and collaborations with the Marketing Officer and external agency.Representing the company at events and delivering presentations to advance membership and professional development.Collaborating on key company projects, including mentoring and career development platforms, while supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. Candidate Specification Essential Qualifications and Experience: Educated to Level 6 or equivalent professional experience.Experience working with young people, senior boards, and external stakeholders.Skilled in delivering presentations, organising workshops, and focus groups.Expertise in marketing, promotion, and campaign planning. Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Membership or Chartership with a professional body.Experience in educational, governmental, or charity settings.Knowledge of membership development and engagement strategies. Essential Qualities and Attributes: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with diverse audiences.Strong oral and written communication skills, adaptable across channels.IT literacy, including CRM databases and CMS platforms.Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities independently. Desirable Qualities and Attributes: Familiarity with social media platforms, branding, design, podcasts, and blogs.Experience attending exhibitions, trade events, or organising promotional stands. Professional Knowledge: Appreciation of Mathematics and its societal contributions.Understanding CPD, Professional Registration, and PhD education/training.Awareness of academic career pathways and charitable organisation management. The Package £32,000 - £35,000 depending on level of experienceMonday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (1 hour lunch) 37 hours per week including 3 days work from home 2 days in the office/on the road9% company pension contributionHoliday entitlement 24 days plus bank holidaysChristmas shut down from Christmas Eve until beginning of January which will not be deducted from you holiday entitlementThe role may require requirements to attend a weekend or evening event and travelling to and from the events outside of office hours however, time will be giving back in lieu
