Contract Type: 1-Year ContractSalary: £550 per dayLocation: BirminghamJob Type: On-site (5 days a week), with travel to customer sites Day-to-day of the role: Work collaboratively in service and project teams to design and implement medium to large network solutions.Understand business and technical requirements to produce relevant design collateral, ensuring it passes governance reviews.Provide hands-on configuration and implementation support.Troubleshoot technical issues across various network setups.Ensure effective handover to service after project completion.Travel to customer sites and other locations as required for project execution. Required Skills & Qualifications: Must be SC Cleared - sole British citizenship required.Strong experience with legacy circuit-switched networks and point-to-point connectivity.Proficient in designing and implementing TDM networks, including multiplexers and demultiplexers.Skilled in configuring and managing routers, switches, and other network devices.Knowledgeable in SDH, WDM, ATM, Frame-Relay, and circuit to packet emulation (CTP).Experience implementing QoS for bandwidth management and reliable data transmission.Ability to implement security measures such as encryption, authentication, and secure routing protocols.Capable of diagnosing and resolving issues in both point-to-point and packet-switched networks.Demonstrable experience in producing high-quality technical documentation for delivery and solution support.Solid understanding of project lifecycle from end to end.
