Network Technician
About The Role Network Technician Due to the expansion of our clients IT Department we are looking for a new team member to take on the role of Network Technician. You will serve as the first point of contact for IT assistance to our store network and head office. This position is based onsite at our Head Office based in Nottingham, but occasional travel and overnight stays may be required. Key responsibilities are: 1st line support, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problemsLiaise with end-users to ensure issues are resolvedHelpdesk support on a variety of back office applicationsInstall and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applicationsSet up new hardware and recycle old hardwareApprove permission change requests and starter and leaver managementAssist with the support of Active DirectoryEnsure licences are assigned and/or renewed as neededAssist with the roll-out of new applicationsLiaise with external contractors and suppliers as neededHardware Support - e.g. PCs, Laptops, printers, photocopiers, office moves etc. Management of Users/User Environment - Application management, network environment, PC and Desktop What you’ll need - skills and experience: The ideal candidate will be able to prioritise their own work load and adapt to any issues. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and the ability to build rapport with the rest of the business. You should be friendly and easy to talk to with effective communication skills.
