Planning ManagerProduction and Materials Planning - Manufacturing Up to £50,000 DOEGloucester The role: Lead and manage the Planning team to ensure efficient day-to-day operationsOversee production scheduling, capacity planning, S&OP, material scheduling and forecastingImplement and improve planning process controls and systemsMonitor and optimise inventory levels for raw materials, WIP and finished goodsDrive OTIF (On-Time In Full) performance and resolve delivery concerns using 8D/PPS toolsSupport the introduction of new products and processes from a planning perspectiveDevelop and report on planning KPIs, budgets and improvement plansSupport internal and external audit requirements and supplier performance reviews The person: Experienced Planning Manager with a strong track record in complex manufacturing environmentsSkilled in ERP systems (preferably IFS / SAP or similar) and planning methodologies including finite scheduling, S&OP and capacity planningStrong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to mentor and guide effectivelyComfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawings (including GD&T)Open to change and improvement, ideally with exposure to lean methodologies Our client:A highly respected, innovation-led manufacturer operating at the forefront of a complex and fast-paced industrial sector.
