About the Role: The Sales Specialist will be a member of the high growth Tax Solutions team, which is responsible for delivering and maintaining tax technology, managed services and professional services. You will be working with both new and existing clients across Europe to drive new business for a range of operational tax regulations to financial institutions and organizations focusing on digital assets. As a Sales Specialist, you are a critical part of the broader Tax Solutions team. This role will require collaboration with the global Sales, Commercial and Product teams and requires a candidate with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, resilience and excellent presentation skills. What You'll Do: The Sales Specialist will be guided by the Global Sales Lead to set the sales strategy for their remit, but ultimately the expectation is for the Sales Specialist to have autonomy and freedom to develop business in their designated region and client base. Core responsibilities of the role include: Development and execution on a sales strategyDemonstrate understanding of the S&P Tax Solutions suite of services and work collaboratively with Tax subject matter experts to position client solutions that solves customer's tax related challenge(s)Collaborate with broader internal stakeholders (Account Managers, Commercial Leads, wider business partners) to realize synergies between Tax Solutions and broader S&P Global product set.Building a pipeline, developing proposals, structuring agreements and managing relationships.Be entrepreneurial -- stay current with industry news to develop initiatives and attract prospects. What We're Looking For: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in business development with a focus on solution sellingStrong negotiation skills to close complex dealsKnowledge and experience of financial services and digital assetsPreference for a candidate with European language skills, inclining for Spanish, French and/ or ItalianExperience of managing senior level meetings and navigating senior level contactsPreference for a candidate with knowledge of operational taxes and information reporting regimes, such as QI, FATCA, CRS, CARF Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and SalesforcePositive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in teams. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or related subjects, ACA will be a plus.Experience selling into the financial services segment, focusing on Operations, Tax, Compliance and Technology departments.Background in selling solutions.
