In this role, you will: - You’ll be at the centre of care—working across disciplines to help service users with both physical health presentations and complex mental health conditions. - You will deliver high-quality Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy services, and support SLAs for Dietetics and Podiatry, working in close partnership with well-established teams. - You will use your advanced clinical reasoning and critical thinking to evaluate, adapt, and implement person-centred interventions that reflect best-practice evidence and empower families in decision-making. - You will provide highly specialist assessments, diagnoses, and management plans for individuals with physical health needs—helping them reach their potential with your expertise. - You will take full responsibility for SLT assessments and tailored interventions for service users with mental health conditions, ensuring holistic care aligned to their unique needs. What you’ll need—and be able to provide evidence for: A degree-level qualification in Speech and Language Therapy—your foundation for expert clinical care.Postgraduate training in your specialist area, demonstrating your commitment to continued professional development.Active registration with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).Proven experience working in multi-professional therapy teams, particularly with service users presenting with mental health needs.A strong track record of managing complex caseloads in acute settings, showcasing your ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results.Flexibility to travel between partnership sites as needed—your adaptability helps keep services connected and consistent.Hands-on experience managing dysphagia, demonstrating your skill in one of the most critical aspects of SLT practice.
