Job Title: HR and Talent Manager Location: London / Hybrid Salary: FTE: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum / PT: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum based upon experience plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits. Role Purpose: As HR and Talent Manager, you will help to create and deliver people programmes and practices which help to foster an engaged and high performing team. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations: Review, create and maintain all people policies and procedures and provide advice and guidance on their application to employees and line managersAdvise and coach managers on people issues to promote positive employee relations, increase engagement, minimise risk, encourage a proactive approach to people matters and develop greater line manager accountabilityAssist in the development of line manager people management capabilities to promote a positive, 'people-centric' culture underpinned by our valuesManage employee relations matters including performance, capability, conduct, absence, disciplinary, grievance, appeals, restructures etc.Analyse data, identify trends and risks and propose targeted interventionsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law, key trends and best practice to inform our employee relations approach and practicesLead on employee relations related projects Diversity and Inclusion: Lead on Diversity and Inclusion activitiesAssess current D&I activities and develop a plan of action with clear aims and key milestonesDesign and implement strategies and initiatives which build the knowledge and confidence of our team and encourage them to take an active role in advancing our D&I aimsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Diversity and Inclusion best practice to inform our approach and programmesAnalyse data, identify trends, track progress and propose targeted interventionCoach, guide and support line managers in promoting and role modelling inclusive behaviour across the organisationOrganise events and activities to increase awareness and celebrate diversity Wellbeing: Lead on wellbeing activities and programmesDesign and develop a programme of support to promote mental and physical wellbeingDevelop a 'hub' for employees to provide accessible wellbeing information and resourcesTake an active lead in working with our social committee to plan and organise a programme of social activities and eventsAnalyse data, identify trends and risks, track progress and propose targeted interventions Talent Management: Lead on talent management initiatives and programmes including the career framework, development programmes and succession planningKeep the career framework under review and recommend changes in line with the evolving needs of the businessPartner with line managers to identify team development needs and propose solutionsReview performance data and recommend interventions to drive high performanceWork with the business to identify key roles and talent and develop and maintain an active succession planDesign and implement employee engagement and retention strategiesOversee the design and delivery of training interventions working closely with the Recruitment and HR Operations Manager About you: Essential Knowledge and Experience: Proven track record in employee relations with experience of working on a broad range of issuesGood working knowledge of UK employment lawExperience of designing and implementing successful D&I strategies relevant to a small organisation Desired Knowledge and Experience: Experience working with career frameworks and performance management.Experience in employee development Competencies: Excellent problem-solving and planning skillsStrong stakeholder management skillsAble to multi-task and manage competing prioritiesExcellent attention to detail and methodical in approachComfortable in using HR systems and portals Additional Information This role profile is a guide to the work that is required but does not form part of any contract of employment and may change from time to time to reflect changing circumstances. This role is based out of techUK's London offices, however, we are open to considering flexible working arrangements. The role is full time but we would also consider requests for a part-time working arrangement of 28 hours per week which can be configured across four or five days.
