Tax Accountant
A leading accountancy firm and business advisory practice in Milton Keynes are seeking a Tax professional, in a job role offering hybrid working and an enjoyable blend of tax work, around 50% corporate, with the other 50% split between personal tax and accountancy work, blending compliance and advisory. The position is permanent and can be either full-time or part-time, with hybrid working available, meaning up to 2 days per week can be from home. One of the firm’s leadership team has really developed the firm’s tax offering. This work has grown significantly, coming in from existing and new clients. They are now doing lots of share schemes, restructures, specialist work etc and need assistance to deal with the work developed. The firm don’t have a designated Tax team, so this role will be largely tax, but also potentially include accounts preparation work, even if a smaller amount.You might be an ATT or CTA studier / qualified with a tax focus in your experience, but the firm will also consider accountants with a broad background, some reasonable tax experience and an interest in developing that in their role.The role is a Senior Tax Accountant, maybe recently qualified, but different levels of experience will be considered equally. The firm are open on experience level, so could hire from Semi-Senior up to Assistant Manager / Manager grade, it’s really about getting the right person.In this position, you will still do some accounts, but be focused on tax, with the split approximately corporate for 50%, with the other 50% split between personal tax and accounts work.With a good mixture of new clients and work being brought in, the firm would like to hire someone who knows tax and has a keen interest in tax.Hybrid working is on offer, with up to 2 days per week available from home for all staff.The firm can offer study support for AAT, ATT, ACCA, ACA, CTA etc.The firm work largely on IRIS programs, with some xero for the processing. The whole suite is on IRIS.They are happy to look at part time and full time hours.
