Job Title: Theatre Scrub Practitioner Trust: Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Location: Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre Ward:NOC Orthopaedic Theatres and Recovery Area Pay Rates: £24 per hour (exc holiday pay) Shift Patterns: Monday-Friday 07:45-17:45 Why might this job interest you? Patients are at their most vulnerable when they come in for surgery, often anxious and scared. You’ll be a key member of the surgery team at the Nuffield Orthopaedic centre helping and supporting patients before during and after surgery. You will be responsible for providing, compassionate, high quality safe care whilst working in an acute fast-paced environment. Patient safety and good practice depends not just on highly performing surgeons, but also on effective surgical team working that enhances the performance of the team. What you can add: Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual. Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients. Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies. Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines. Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards.
