The Role They are currently looking to recruit a Trade Mark Paralegal to cover maternity leave for a fixed term contract of 12 months (although the contract may possibly be extended to a maximum of 18 months).They will join the TM team in the Liverpool office and the successful candidate will provide a support service to all of the company Trade Mark fee earners. Primary Duties: Making up new cases, and updating entries on computerised recordsConducting Trade Mark database searches and compiling search reportsDealing with trade mark postPreparing responses and reminder letters to clients on Trade Mark mattersHandling assignment recordals, changes of name, mergers, reclassifications and changes of client/representativePreparing cost estimates for clientsPreparing and filing trade mark applicationsPreparing trade mark schedulesHandling prompt lists and proactively dealing with deadlinesMonitoring WIP, preparing draft bills, dealing with accounts, billing and invoice enquiriesHandling UKIPO/EUIPO notificationsHandling client enquiriesProviding general support to TM Partners/Fee earnersGeneral duties commensurate with positionLiaising with renewals department to oversee trade mark renewals Secondary Duties: Covering for absence of renewals paralegal, including dealing with trade mark renewalsTyping support, as necessary Skills and Qualifications Capable of working both independently and as part of a teamHave proven organisational skills and excellent oral and written communication skillsYou will possess a commitment to quality and attention to detailA high level of accuracy is essentialMinimum of 1 year of experience in a similar roleBe proactive and cooperative with a flexible approach to covering various tasks as needs dictate.
