Looking for the best healthcare jobs? You’ve come to the right place…
We’re committed to delivering the best service for jobseekers in every sector. Recently, we attended Talent Leaders Connect’s Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences event, to help expand our knowledge and share some key stats on jobs in the health, medicine, and pharmaceutical sector.
Here’s what we covered:
Highest volume of healthcare positions to date
The amount of health and medicine jobs on reed.co.uk have been growing steadily since 2010, with an average annual growth of around 30%.
And, it certainly doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.
In fact, recent data from reed.co.uk shows a 49% increase in jobs in the pharmaceutical sector compared to this time last year, as well as 21% more jobs in the health and medicine sector.
Nursing jobs growing
Our latest figures also show that nursing is the fastest growing discipline in the health, medicine, and pharmaceutical sector.
Employers are looking for more nursing staff than they were this time last year – with a total of around 20,000 positions posted in 2016 alone.
And if you’re looking to find work in mental health nursing – you’re in luck. Vacancies in this sector have risen the most, with a 56% increase in jobs posted year on year.
More varied career opportunities
But it’s not just nursing that’s seen a rise. Roles in dentistry have seen an increase of 47% since September 2015, and Pharmacist jobs have risen by 40% year on year.
And because roles within this industry are constantly expanding and evolving, job numbers continue to grow right across the healthcare sector.

Supply meets demand
