The market-leader in our sector, we’re the number one trade choice for high quality, cost-effective, professional grade, vehicle cleaning products. Since 1979, our rate of growth has been phenomenal, with sales more than doubling in the last 10 years, and a nailed-on growth plan for the next 5, aiming to double in size again, in part through a £35 million investment in our brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Staffordshire. We want to get more trucks on the road and more product to our customers, and we’re looking for driven, passionate individuals to help us get there.
Why Autosmart?
At Autosmart, it’s all about the people. From the long-standing personal relationships that we build with our customers, to the open and supportive feedback culture around our offices. We’re excited to have been accredited as ‘Very Good to work for’ by Employee Engagement specialists, Best Companies.
Almost half of our employees have been with us for more than five years, and some since Autosmart was founded. Loyalty is really important to us, and so staff are rewarded every 5 years for their long service with a cash bonus or extra holiday entitlement.
We pride ourselves on our in-house skills courses and bespoke development programmes which are delivered by a training specialist. Our training courses cover communication skills and dealing with change through to project management, manual handling and fork lift truck certification.
Our benefits packages, including pay, are regularly benchmarked against other local employers to ensure we are offering the best deal. Employee health and wellbeing, both at work and home, is extremely important to us, so we offer private health care, health cash plan and a confidential support programme.
Our Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process is designed to be thorough, yet informal, and is led by our team of friendly and experienced recruiters. The process varies depending on the role, however, below is a taste of what you might expect.
Getting to know each other - After you have uploaded your CV, our Recruitment Team will review your application. To help us get to know a bit more about you, we may arrange some, or all, of the following steps: a quick online questionnaire to help us see which parts of the job you will enjoy the most, an informal call to chat through your experience and our role, or a short quick-thinking exercise, either online or in person.
Interview and Feedback - Our interviews are held on site and conducted by at least two interviewers, usually a recruiter and the hiring manager, so it’s a great opportunity for you to get a feel for Autosmart and the team you could be joining. As part of your interview, you may be asked to prepare a presentation, spend a day in the field with one of our franchisees, or complete a site tour. If there is anything you need to prepare, we will brief you in plenty of time. We strive to provide detailed feedback as quickly as possible. If you’re successful, we will guide you through the offer process and stay in touch until your first day.
Offer and Onboarding - The HR and Recruitment team will make sure you have received all the documents you need ahead of your first day. On your first day, your manager will welcome you to the team and arrange a series of inductions to get you set up to hit the ground running. Your manager will also create a training plan and work closely with you for those first few weeks to help you learn your new role.
We make our customers' lives easier with exceptional products and unparalleled service, delivered with a smile.
