Technical Administrator &amp; Controller Maidstone or Ashford About Us Established in 1790, Haynes Bros Ltd is a dynamic, family-owned business. We are currently seeking an efficient Technical Administrator &amp; Controller to join our team. Role Overview This is an interesting and diverse position where every day is different. The role would suit an administrator who likes to be busy and has some knowledge of the motor trade and vehicles. The applicant should be equally comfortable dealing with workshop staff and customers. The applicant must have good communication skills and a positive attitude. Key Responsibilities Liaising with the workshop and reception to ensure the safe, efficient and smooth running of the service department. Covering absences in workshop control and reception Producing estimates and ensuring that repair authorisation is obtained Assisting with obtaining pre and post repair order numbers Ensuring compliance with warranty procedures, to include collating pre and post repair reports Auditing inspection and service documentation Supporting reception with technical queries Assisting with the loading of bookings and planned maintenance onto the company systems Supporting the Service Manager and Admin team as required including timing job cards, invoicing, WIP control, recall management and adherence to manufacturer KPIs and targets. Assisting with invoice queries and debt management. Person Specification Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. What we offer This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00 plus participation in a Saturday rota. Technical Administrator & Controller

We are currently seeking an experienced and efficient Payroll &amp; HR Administrator to join our team. Role Overview As a Payroll &amp; HR Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering the end-to-end payroll process and supporting our HR function. You will ensure compliance with UK payroll laws and regulations and provide support to employees. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. This role would ideally suit an individual who has been working in a similar role and has experience of working with Sage 50 payroll. Key Responsibilities Processing Payroll : Accurately processing the monthly payroll for around 360 employees, ensuring timely and efficient payroll transactions. Responsibilities will include: Collating payroll information Inputting payroll data into our payroll system (Sage50). Verifying data, completing checks and liaising with Managers as required. Carrying out payroll calculations including overtime, maternity, paternity and sick pay. Applying deductions including court orders, national insurance, tax and pension contributions. Providing payslips electronically to employees. Pension Administration: Carrying out all administration for the Company’s pension schemes and managing auto-enrolment obligations. Data Management : Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments. Compliance : Ensuring compliance with UK payroll laws and regulations, including RTI submissions to HMRC. Reporting : Preparing and submitting all required payroll reports, including tax filings and benefits reports (e.g., P11D, P60). Also preparing monthly reports for Accounts and ad-hoc reports for senior managers, as required. Issue Resolution : You will be the first point of contact for payroll and pension enquiries from staff and you will be required to promptly investigate and resolve any discrepancies and issues. HR Support : Supporting the HR &amp; Payroll Manager with day-to-day HR matters including: Providing clerical and administrative support. Processing documentation and prepare reports relating to all HR activities, such as absence, holidays etc. Providing managers with necessary new starter documentation, processing new starter paperwork and setting up employee records. Ensuring HR information is held and updated accurately within our HR system, and it is GDPR compliant. Carrying out regular driving licence checks for staff. Person Specification Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration. Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems, preferably Sage50. Strong knowledge of UK payroll laws and regulations. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
