Job Title: Food Technician Location: Secondary School, London Borough of Southwark Salary: 14 - 16 PHR Contract: Term-time only, Full-time DBS enhanced Required Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and organised Food Technician to join our vibrant secondary school in Southwark . The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Food Technology department, ensuring the smooth operation of practical lessons, maintaining equipment, and providing essential assistance to teachers and students. Key Responsibilities: Prepare ingredients, equipment, and materials for Food Technology practical lessons. Assist students during practical lessons, ensuring health and safety standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchens and food preparation areas in line with school policies. Order and manage stock, ensuring ingredients and materials are available as needed. Support teachers in lesson planning and demonstration of techniques when required. Carry out routine maintenance and checks on kitchen appliances and report any issues. Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and school health &amp; safety policies. Assist with administrative tasks, including record-keeping and resource management. Person Specification: Essential: Experience working in a food-related environment , such as a school, catering, or hospitality. You will be responsible for managing student records, assisting with admissions, and providing administrative support to staff, students, and parents.
