Manor by the Lake was purchased in 2013 by Tammy Madge and Michael Chittenden, a huge project was undertaken to restore the Manor back to its former 1858 glory with enhanced facilities to create an exclusive use venue for weddings, special occasions and business functions.
The Manor now has six wonderful function rooms, including the West-wing Ballroom that can hold up to 250 people. The multi-million pound investment has seen the addition of 12 luxury bedrooms and suites, the conversion of the original Jazz Bar into a opulent multi-room Rock Bar featuring a vintage-style jukebox and games room and private club room.
Today, guests who book Manor By The Lake and all that it offers have exclusive use of the Manor and grounds. It is all theirs for the whole duration on their stay.

Tina - Customer Journey Manager With over 12 years in weddings and corporate events I am passionate about creating an exceptional experience for all our guests at Manor by The Lake.
Dale - Operations Manager Having worked previously at a busy catering organisation, I have a broad range of experience includes managing events with just 20 guests, to those with over 500.
Amy - Wedding & Corporate Events Manager My desire for this line of work stems from the beginning of my education with a degree in Events Management. From working in many countryside Manors to Business Sales within the manufacturing industry, my understanding in the events sector and Business to Business is extensive.
Michaela - Banqueting Manager Your event should be memorable for all the right reasons, so that’s why I pay great attention to detail during the preparation and running of your day. With a Masters in Event Management and many successful years’ experience in catering for large organisations such as Cheltenham College, you can trust me to ensure we have everything covered.
Siobhan - Senior Wedding Planner My passion for weddings led me to complete a degree in Events Management, choosing to gain operational experience for my placement year. I also have 8 years’ experience in customer service, as well as experience in sales of conferences, events and weddings.
Juliette - Banqueting Manager With my background in hospitality and previous roles at both Hatton Court Hotel and The Daffodil Restaurant in Cheltenham I have gained a wide range of experience in event organisation and customer service.
Norbert - Head Chef As a child, my grandmother ignited my passion for food, and today I remain utterly dedicated to creating exceptional dishes for all guests at the Manor. With many years’ experience from catering on cruise ships, to head chef at a multi award-winning restaurant, I strive to continually better my culinary offering.
Dwain - Sous Chef As an experienced Sous Chef and Pastry Chef, my passion is creating dreamy desserts that get everyone talking. For me, the ultimate reward is seeing empty plates returning to the kitchen, and hearing people talk about how impressed they were with our event catering. It makes my job totally worthwhile.
Beth - Office Administrator With an NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration and over 3 years’ experience working in complex administrative roles, my attention to detail and organisational skills are of great value to the team at Manor by The Lake.
