Marasu’s was founded in 1986 by master-patissiers Rolf Kern and Gabi Kohler with an eye to supplying London’s top hotels, restaurants and clubs with premium chocolates and petits fours. The Marasu’s name was created from the first two letters of each of Rolf’s three children.
Marasu’s was acquired by Prestat Group Ltd in 2006 and produces chocolates and bakery products for, among others, Prestat, Fortnum & Mason and Pret a Manger. It is London’s largest producer of premium chocolates with annual production of over 300 tonnes from its 25,000 sq foot facilities in Park Royal.
With a skilled permanent workforce numbering over sixty, Marasu’s is Grade A BRC-certified, Organic Farmers & Growers-certified and operates to halal certification standards. Its products have won numerous Great Taste Awards and its chocolatiers develop dozens of new recipes every year.
