Still based in Shipley in West Yorkshire, where it was started in 1982 by ex-professional footballer Bruce Bannister, it provides shoes, clothing and equipment for a wide range of sports and is actively involved in sporting events throughout the country. 

Its website also provides specialist help and guidance to the active sports person and aims to offer the best customer service around. It the has won a number of national awards for its standard of retailing, including a prestige Drapers awards for Best Online Retailer this year.
