Final examinations are taken online from home, remotely invigilated by City & Guilds. You will get same-day results, a C&G e-certificate within one week of your exam date, and a hard copy of the certificate.

Exams are available every week Monday - Friday 0800hrs, 1130hrs or 1600hrs.

How will I get access to the course material?

After making your booking, you will be emailed access to the online tutorial. You will have 12 months to complete the course and take the final City & Guilds examination.

Training Materials.

The 18th edition qualification by City & Guilds is an open-book examination. This means that candidates will be required to purchase and bring to the examination a copy of BS7671 in its original format.

Final examination.

For your final City & Guilds examination, you will undertake a 2-hour online multiple-choice test. The percentage pass mark is 60%. This equals answering 36 questions or more correctly out of 60.

From January 2019, the 18th edition wiring regulations came into effect, and all electrical installations must be installed to this latest standard. The wiring regulations are a British Standard (BS7671:2018) written by the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology).

If you work or are involved in the electrical industry, you will need to make sure you are designing and installing to the latest regulations. By gaining the City & Guilds 2382 qualification, you are demonstrating you have a knowledge and understanding of this latest version.
