This course is divided into ten key units covering core biological concepts:

- Microbiology and Pathogens – Immune response, infection, and antibiotic resistance
- Modern Genetics – DNA structure, gene expression, and biotechnological applications
- Origins of Genetic Variation – Mutation, inheritance, and natural selection
- Control Systems – Nervous system, homeostasis, and hormonal control
