A-Level Mathematics (AQA)

A-level Maths (or A-level Mathematics if you prefer) is one of the top respected qualifications for university entry and is considered a facilitating subject. It enables you to demonstrate an ability of logical thinking and reasoning that all universities will respect.

The learning hours for this course are up to 300 hours, which is around 30 minutes per day for 24 months.

Assessment

You can enrol now for examinations from Summer 2025.

You’ll be required to complete three standard written exams.

• • Paper 1: 2 hours, 33.3% of A-Level, 100 marks
  • Paper 2: 2 hours, 33.3% of A-Level, 100 marks
  • Paper 3: 2 hours, 33.3% of A-Level, 100 marks.

These exams contain a mix of question styles, from short, single-mark questions to multi-step problems.

Assignments

During your course, you’ll be required to complete various assignments. These do not contribute towards your final grade but provide you with an opportunity to submit work to your tutor for marking and feedback. This will help you to monitor your progress and will be used to produce predicted grades if needed.

Course Outcomes

Upon successfully passing your exams, you will receive an A-Level in Maths, issued by AQA. Your certificate is identical to that issued to students at any other school, college or university.
