This course covers UK and US political systems, ideologies, and comparative government, divided into eight key units:
- The Government of the UK – British Constitution, Parliament, Prime Minister, and Devolution
- Politics of the UK – Political parties, elections, voting behaviour, and democracy
- The Government of the USA – Congress, Supreme Court, and the role of the President
- Politics of the USA – US elections, political parties, and pressure groups
- Comparative Politics – Key differences and similarities between UK and US systems
- Core Ideologies – Conservatism, liberalism, and socialism
- Other Ideologies – Feminism, anarchism, nationalism, and multiculturalism
- Exam Preparation – Practice exercises, assessment strategies, and revision techniques

Students will complete three written exams:
