Our bespoke distance learning programmes embrace your individuality as a learner. We support your natural style of learning to ensure it flourishes and drives the successful outcome of your studies.

Our fusion of learning materials and learning methods, guarantee equal learning opportunities to all students regardless of their natural learning style preference. Our distance learning programmes meet the full requirements of auditory, visual, kinaesthetic and reflective learning ensuring stress free, optimum study for all. Using the right resources to meet your preferred learning style will halve the complexity of what you learn.

In addition to our expert tutor support, every student is offered individual ‘key to success’ coaching, which offers another unique dimension to achieving exam success. For our students, ‘key to success’ coaching is an essential support mechanism throughout their distance learning studies. Coaching allows the learner to develop personal skills and is a strong contributory factor in their exam success.

We also understand that knowing how to study effectively is not a natural process for many. Likewise, being able to learn at optimum levels, in all lessons, is a skill few people are born with. ‘Key to success’ coaching corrects this by supporting learners to understand and develop their own natural ability to learn. Getting the most from each lesson will help you to communicate effectively when asking for tutor support, which in turn will maximise the benefits gained.

Description

Since its launch in 2012, the Gold Edge Training reputation is renowned nationwide for high achieving students across the full range of AAT qualifications. Our exam pass rate far exceed the AAT national average because we develop the learner as well as teach them the AAT.

Our coaching programme was designed and written by our head accountancy teacher. Alongside teaching and pioneering learning style online delivery, she has specialised in developing the learning skills of accountancy students for over 24 years.

At Gold Edge, we treat all learners and employers as individuals needing bespoke learning packages. With a collective pedigree of AAT experience spanning nearly 40 years, we’ve learnt to understand AAT students. We deliver excellence through listening and acting on their personal learning requirements.

Key benefits of bespoke learning style delivery:Flexibility

You control your speed of learning – We support at the same pace. Our programmes are designed to be studied anywhere and at any time. 15 minutes to spare? Use it to prepare for the next lesson or recap the last. These study snippets will increase your learning capacity during the next full lesson.

Kaplan hard copy study textbooks & exam kit books

Optimum learning style study requires a balance of different resources and different learning methods. How you learn online is different to how you learn from a book. When you learn from multiple resources and methods, your depth of understanding increases, which strengthens your ability to recall.

Live online classroom

We offer live classroom sessions in the day and evening for levels 2 and 3. Watching live lessons best suits auditory and visual learners. The live sessions are also recorded to meet personal availability and the learning style of kinaesthetic and reflective learners. Learning how to adapt resources to suit how you learn best will enhance your learning experience and increase your knowledge absorption. All recordings can be multi-watched for deeper understanding.

Online interactive content

All students, based on their natural learning style, will prefer or lead with different learning resources. We offer a full online range of workbooks, animations, interactive questions and videos in addition to the live classroom and hardcopy books. Amongst the online resources you will find PowerPoint presentations, additional manual question banks and practice exams.

Four-stage revision programme

Our programmes leave nothing to chance in achieving your success. Learning a subject is not sufficient to pass exams. Study knowledge needs to transfer to exam ready knowledge. Our four-stage revision programme for AAT level 2 of:

  1. Green light testing to check depth of understanding

  2. Completing circa 200 manual exam kit questions

  3. Live exam preparation session and finally

  4. Exam practice papers all ensure you are at optimum exam level when entering your exam.

Follow our programme, and you will join our high achieving student community.

Study with your peers

Chat to other students in our active student community. Peer support is an added benefit to making study easy and fun.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
