Overview
This course is designed to provide you with a foundation of knowledge and skills in bookkeeping which is required for most finance roles. In this course, you will learn practical accountancy skills in double-entry bookkeeping, associated documents and processes, trial balances and dealing with VAT. You will also understand the relationship between different accounting records.

Description
The course comprises of TWO units;
Introduction to Bookkeeping
Upon completion of this unit you will understand how to:
- Understand how to set up bookkeeping systems
- Process customer transactions
- Process supplier transactions
- Process receipts and payments
- Process transactions into the ledger accounts
Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
Upon completion of this unit you will understand how to:
- Use control accounts
- Reconcile a bank statement with the cash book
- Use the journal
- Produce trial balances

If you are new to the industry or have minimal experience and are looking to develop your knowledge and skills further within bookkeeping.
