The alcohol licensing laws of the United Kingdom regulate the sale and consumption of alcohol. Any organisation, business or individual who wishes to sell alcohol must have a licence.
This is obtained from a Licensing Authority.
This alcohol personal license holder course will prepare you with all the knowledge required to pass the exam as well as the the online exam itself.
NB: this COURSE covers BOTH UK and Scottish legislation however, the EXAM is currently ONLY covers UK 2003 .

Alcohol personal license holder and online exam
This course starts with an overview of UK alcohol licensing laws and the importance of promoting the four key licencing objectives.
The three main types of licence are covered, including applications, conditions, representations, and reviews.
The course will also discuss issues surrounding Temporary Event Notices, and mandatory conditions, which are compulsory for all licenced premises.
It'll also look in detail at the major issue of age verification - and you'll learn about the licensing laws and best practices as they apply to children and under 18s.
Finally, it outlines the responsibilities involved in alcohol retailing including drinking guidelines and how to avoid and reduce conflict

In accordance with The Licensing Act 2003 (England and Wales and Scotland 2005 ), anyone who is responsible for the sale of alcohol to the public must be a Personal Licence Holder.

If I take the exam and fail is there a charge to resit the test?
Answer:Hi, this course provides you with all the information you need to be able to apply for and pass the exam. If you fail the exam, you will have buy an additional exam and then retake.

Answer:The certificate produced on successful completion of this course confirms that you have passed all modules to the required standard. Please note this course now includes the exam and you will receive an additional certificate on passing the exam and the exam conditions . In order to apply for the personal license you need the certificate that is awarded on passing the exam.

Answer:The course and exam are two separate items. The course provides you with the knowledge to pass the exam. You then take the Laser awards exam and pass it to receive the certificate . (The online Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (RQF) is designed for those working in licensed premises and is a requirement for those wishing to apply for a Personal Licence. ) Once you pass the exam you can then apply to the relevant authority for your personal license and / or premises licenses.
