Overview
British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 and Level 2 courses bundle has been designed to teach learners to communicate with Deaf or hearing loss people on various topics and situations that involve simple, everyday language use for communication. They will gain essential skills and confidence in two production areas and the reception of BSL. Fluency in sign language is also needed for specialized jobs in education, health, therapy, and recreational services.
People with disabilities like autism, apraxia of speech, cerebral palsy, etc., communicate through sign language. It can help someone with autism communicate. It's the fourth most used language in the UK. Job seekers can point to a good grasp as demonstrative of their cognitive abilities, critical thinking, communication skills, and continued development.
Knowing BSL will open many doors for professionals wishing to enter interpreting or translating. According to Languageline, almost 11 million people in the UK have hearing loss; Action on Hearing Loss estimates that the figure will be over 15 million by 2035 – that’s one person in five. Sign language benefits frontline workers in social care, hospitality, or public-facing roles.
Learning a language is always rewarding. You can use it for your personal needs, and by helping your deaf friends, you will have mental satisfaction, which is very important in this sophisticated era.
You will be able to find work in hearing impairment units in schools as a campaigner, support worker, audiologist, teacher, and many other local government services.
