The Level 3 Diploma Practitioner in Personal Training replaces the original Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training and provides learners with the essential skills and knowledge to become a CIMSPA recognised Personal Trainer through quality training and expert tutors.

Each package will increase your employability as a personal trainer, provide you with a wider potential client base and enhances your own professional development. Once qualified you will be able to work on a self-employed basis, train clients in an environment of your choice, or become employed by a gym or fitness setting.

You will develop a deeper understanding of how to create advanced fitness plans and provide consultations; giving you the ability to utilise a full range of activities for your clients.

Description

Following payment, you will be allocated a tutor who will contact you within 24 hours to get you started. You will receive full digital resources to support your study including a fully interactive Elearning portal and will have access to a wide range of online tutorials and webinars. Access to your tutor is unlimited and there is no deadline for course completion.

As a guide, 3 - 6 hours a week allocated study time should lead to course completion in approximately 16 weeks. You can devise an assessment plan with your tutor based on how long you want your course to take and all tutors aim to provide feedback on assignment submissions within 48 hours.

The diploma is made up of 2 qualifications :

Level 2 Certificate in Planning and Delivering Gym-Based Exercise (RQF)

Level 3 Certificate in Planning and Delivering Personal Training (RQF)

Each course starts with a series of theory units and then has a practical assessment at the end. You will be required to work with a client of your choice and guide them through safe and effective exercise as required by each course. Your tutor will prepare you in full for this and explain each step in detail. You can either deliver and record the practical session yourself in a suitable fitness setting or you can attend one of our live assessment days (subject to availability)

Following the completion of the Diploma, you will be certified in 3 - 5 weeks and you can join the CIMSPA register of exercise professionals if you choose to.

We can also offer a guaranteed interview with some of the largest commercial fitness providers in the UK. Your tutor will discuss this option with you during your initial consultation.

We offer instalment plans with this programme which are free of interest, fees or credit checks.

Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone who has a passion for fitness and health and wants to teach and guide others by becoming a fully qualified instructor and Personal Trainer.

Requirements

There are no entry requirements start this course straight away, but a level of physical fitness is necessary and some experience of gym-based exercise is recommended. However, working experience in the fitness industry is not mandatory.

You will not need to study the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing before you enrol on this course. No prior qualifications are necessary.

Career path

Once you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to join CIMSPA as a fully certified fitness professional and will be qualified to work as a personal trainer on an employed or self-employed basis

We have had learners complete in as little as 6 weeks which would require intensive daily study and some that take a lot longer. You will plan and prepare x2 programmes of physical activity and deliver these during each assessment.
