Overview

Criminology is the scientific study of crime and criminals. Combining psychological and sociological theories, this Criminology Level 3 Diploma studies the definitions of, and reasons for, criminal behaviour.

You’ll learn about the criminal justice system and its inner workings, and explore criminals and their treatment. You’ll delve into a number of different theories, concepts and models. On completion of the course you will have gained the ability to critically assess everyday understandings of the crime and criminal justice systems.

Assessment

The Criminology Diploma programme of learning is assessed through a series of written assignments. You’ll submit your work to your tutor via our online LMS (Learner Management System). will need to be submitted to your personal tutor for marking and feedback to confirm that you have met the learning outcomes. There are no external examinations required.
