Description

The course is designed to introduce you to the core principles required to enter the Cyber Security industry.

You will learn the principles of Cyber Security, networking, online threats and deploying security tools to defend an online system.

To complete this course you will create a portfolio of evidence demonstrating practical skills, complete a group project and activities to build your technical and employability skills, and finally sit an exam at the end of week 3.

This course is for those with or without experience, however no technical knowledge is required.

On successful completion you will gain TLM Level 2 Certificate in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics.

You will also receive an Employability session to support your career progression after the course.

Requirements

You must live in Greater Manchester and be 19+ (no age limit), in receipt of benefits and/or employed earning under £25k to qualify for funding.

You must be available to study Mon - Fri full time for 3 weeks.

The course is delivered remotely and requires a PC or laptop and internet access.

Career path

On completion learners can progress into further learning, a L2 Coding course with Code Nation, a junior role or software developer apprenticeship.
