English Language IGCSE

This Edexcel GCSE English Language course is designed to facilitate development of a broad understanding of written English principles. Through comprehensive and independent reading of texts and extracts students will be provided with an opportunity to develop skills in summarising, collating and paraphrasing written text.

About this Course

This English Language GCSE course covers all that you will need to know about written English and prepares students for the Edexcel English Language IGCSE qualification 4EB1. The course allows you to get ready for your examinations and will fully prepare you in time to sit the exams. With a dedicated tutor throughout, you will be able to work through each section of the course, get help when required and complete examinations in order to fully prepare for your exams.

Our Edexcel GCSEs do require you to complete an external examination at a registered Edexcel centre which will require you to pay an additional fee. This course will prepare you for your examinations that can be taken at an Edexcel centre in the UK or internationally.

All of your GCSEs follow the Edexcel specifications with some being GCSEs and some being IGCSEs. These are both widely recognised and accepted by colleges and universities throughout the world. IGCSEs were first introduced in 1988 and are seen as being the same standard as GCSEs but never include any coursework and are more accessible to people internationally.

Assessments

This course is assessed through tutor marked assignments which must be sent to your tutor for marking. You will then be provided with feedback and a mark on your work from your tutor within 4 working days. After each assignment has been sent off and marked as complete you will have passed the course and will receive your certification.
