Course Provided Through Pass Functional Skills, Exam is Regulated via City and Guilds Exam Board.
This comprehensive Functional Skills Maths Level 2 course has been created by expert tutors alongside students to provide learners with full coverage of the level 2 curriculum with video tutorials, practice questions, exam questions and full mock exams.
Our Functional Skills Maths Level 2 has been designed to be really easy to use. From area to percentages, every topic is covered and every different type of question is explained with worked examples and video tutorials.
The Functional Skills Maths Level 2 is Ofqual regulated meaning the exam at the end provides UCAS points and enables learners to apply to Uni and professional jobs such as the police, nursing as well as complete apprenticeships.
After successfully completing the Functional Skills Maths Level 2 you will be invited to book an Ofqual regulated exam with one of three major exam boards. The largest board we work with is City & Guilds, but we also offer NCFE and Open Awards.

Functional Skills Qualification in Maths at Level 2

Yes with this course for the functional skills you get access for a full 12 months. That does not mean that it takes a full year to complete though, we recommend it takes around 50 hours of study to complete the course, which you can do as quickly or as slowly as you like due to the 24.7 access you have. Some learners have completed it and sat their exam after 2 weeks, some have spent the full year studying before entering for the final exam.
It's advertised as only 2 weeks access to content but if it's a year then great.Are there questions at the end of each module to check understanding

Once you have completed the course, you will then need to book an exam through our service and yes the exam is Ofqual regulated so you will get an official certificate that is accepted by Universities and employers as a GCSE equivalent grade C/ level 4.

You can sit the exam online through the Pass Functional Skills service. The typical exam fee for an Ofual regulated exam is around £199 but you can get this cheaper if you book well in advance.
Is this course at the same standard as Standard Grades in Scotland. Or the old O Grade system in Scotland. Thanks.

This course is specific to the functional skills specification which prepares students for a functional skills exam. Functional skills is equivalent to a GCSE grade C or level 4 in the new grading system.
How much is the exam, if your not in a rush? Also where would the exam take place? London or the nearest college to the student?

The exams typically cost around £200 but if you are not in a rush then you can probably get this cheaper. The best exam provider we recommend is Pass Functional Skills. I hope this helps.
The exam varies from £148 to £225 depending on how quickly you need to book and whether you qualify for additional support such as NHS worker, student, apprenticeship etc.

This would be equivalent to a grade C. The course recommended study time is around 50 hours. Some people take a week, others take a number of months, it really is up to you. You can take the exam whenever you feel ready.
