What is workplace violence?

“Workplace violence is any act or threat of physical violence, harassment, intimidation, or other threatening disruptive behaviour that occurs at the work site. It ranges from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and even homicide. It can affect and involve employees, clients, customers and visitors”

Course aims

In order to prevent workplace violence, it is essential that managers and employees are able to identify individuals who could become violent and understand how to diffuse dangerous situations. This e-learning course will help participants to identify and address violence in the workplace, as well as giving them the tools to develop their own Workplace Harassment Policy.
